1LT J. Kauffman Posted July 22, 2017 Share Posted July 22, 2017 OPERATION TIME: 1800 EST IN-GAME TIME: 0530 ORGANIZATION: 1. REGION: Cao Bang Province, Laos 2. WEATHER: Early Morning Fog. 3. TERRAIN: Highlands merged with valley floodplains 1. SITUATION a. Enemy Forces National Liberation Front b. Friendly Forces Army of Republic of Vietnam - ARVN CIDG Montagnards - CIDG 2. MISSION -Reconnaissance Teams Iowa and Alaska are to move out from their camps at 05:45 and rally at the supply drop(057089). From there RT Alaska and Iowa will conduct a coordinated raid on the town of Thai Son, then will move to neutralize the port of Mong An. -71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will not be flying this morning. 3. EXECUTION PHASE I - Thai Son a. Upon load in, teams will be teleport ed to their respective camps. b. RT Iowa will will move from Camp (058085) and move to the supply drop (057089). c. RT Alaska will move from Camp (064085) and move to the supply drop (057089). d. Both Teams will resupply and equip suppressors. d. RT Alaska will then push to Phase Line Apple, RT Iowa will push to Phase Line Grapefruit. From there the teams will assess the town and attempt to eliminate the hostile garrison without raising alarm. e. RT Alaska will provide overwatch from Phase Line Apple. RT Iowa will enter Thai Son at Phase Line Blue 0610. f. RT Iowa will then move to clear Phase Line Red, Followed by Phase Line Yellow, and last they will clear Phase Line Green. - If RT Iowa requires assistance, RT Alaska will be ready to move in and clear Phase Line Green, followed by Phase Line Yellow, on demand. PHASE II - Mong An a. RT Alaska will rig any strategic resources with explosives. Then both teams will proceed to PL Bourbon. b. From PL Bourbon, RT Iowa and RT Alaska will move to PL Whiskey and observe Mong An from there. c. Then RT Alaska will move to PL Rye and set up overwatch. RT Iowa will move to PL Scotch. d. Once set RT Iowa will assault the southern gate. Once RT Iowa secures Phase Line 1. RT Iowa will move to secure Phase Line 2. e. RT Alaska will then move to clear Phase Line 3, the docks. (Depending on the situation, RT Alaska will either move through the compound to the docks or will flank along the periphery of the compound. f. Once Clear RT Alaska will rig any strategic resources will explosives **using detonators as opposed to timers**. g. Both teams will then move back to PL Whiskey, and will detonate all charges. PHASE III - Evasion a. Teams will then move south west from PL Whiskey (064091) and set up camp in the hills. b. Endex **Special Instructions** - Timing is very important. We're trying to complete this mission without a time skip. - Assault on Thai Begins no later than 0610 In-Game-Time. - Remaining undetected until we innate the fight. - If perused, kill pursuers, set up Camp. 4. COMMANDER'S NOTES TEAM LEADERS, Supply drop will contain silencers for our weapons, M112 satchels, and an M152 Detonator. See to it that they are distributed to your men & That they understand we are not to use explosives while assaulting Thai Son. We're attempting to clear Thai Son silently. Remember to tell your men that with a bayonet equipped, you are able to perform a melee kill by sneaking up on an AI, within knifing range, and Zeus will eliminate the AI silently.
