1. SITUATION:

Following on from the presence patrol 1st Cavalry Division performed into the village of Kar Shek a large number of Taliban forces have been attacking FOB Prince relentlessly for the past week. The unit have suffered multiple casualties and KIA's. With no end in sight, SF units were called in to strike strategic locations in the area in hope that this would disrupt the Taliban's attacks. This however, has come at a cost, and an SF unit has gone missing, as well as the insertion helicopter they were in. With little intelligence as to where the unit is hopes are fading of finding them alive, their last GPS locations were from 2 days ago. Nothing has been heard from the unit since and the GPS trackers have now stopped working. Although under heavy attack the only units in the area are the 1st Cavalry Division, running low on supplies and ammunition. The British Royal Marines stationed 35KM to the North are unable to provide ground assistance as they are in the same situation.
