REGION: Baranow area, Poland 2. WEATHER: Clear Skies; 50F ; Wind <1kn NNE; Dawn 0755 IGT; Dusk 1825 IGT 3. TERRAIN: Farmland, Spruce Forests, Villages Following our assault of Baranow, we have dealt a massive blow to enemy morale , as well as to their operational strength in the AO. We failed to capture the enemy field HQ, but the bridge still stands. We must strike quick while the enemy is on the backfoot of a retreat. Victory will be upon us! We will play as the 2nd Light Division (Wehrmacht), which was part of the 15th Army Corps, 10th Army, Heeresgruppe Süd. The 10th army was commanded by Herman Hoth, and the armygroup as a whole was commanded by Generaloberst Gerd von Rundstedt. Its initial objective was to drive from Silesia towards Warsaw (by the 8th Army and 10th Army), and to destroy the Polish forces around Kraków (by the 14th Army). a. AO: Intelligence: Enemy Forces are Polish regulars, well equipped and trained, and are fighting in their home turf. They are entrenched on the outskirts of the town, as well as the bridge. We are unsure of Polish Air-forces Notes from Commander: All requests for Close Air Support/Medevac/Resupply/Insertion are to go to Mako 1-6 on FREQ 60.0. Mako 1-6 will contact Rattler 1-6 on FREQ 50.0 to request an asset to assist 1st Platoon as necessary.
