TERRAIN: Jungle, Delta, Rural, Islands Our South Vietnamese allies have gotten wind of a VC force building in the proximity of Sihanoukville. HQ believes that this might be a move to set up anti-air traps to hinder aerial transportation of goods inland. As MACV still struggle to find the enemies core objective in the area, they have requested the support of 1st Cavalry division to aid in the search for the enemy. The AO is split into four sectors, each containing at least one point of interrest. You also have several choices of insert, which might color what resistances you may face. Scuba-gear and logistics to transport fighting gear will be supplied. MACV have determined the following points of interrest per sector: Dirk: Lonely shack, that locals have seen movement around during night time. Possible VC stash Thick shrubbery that also crawls with movement during night time Dagger: Two artillery craters that MACV believes may be used as artillery positions Stilletto: The Town of Lumphat is believed to house VC sympathizers Bowie: The island of Phu Quoc Abandoned radio installation Abandoned PAVN barracks with dock The Island of Long Hai The village of Long Hai itself The river delta in the island The small dock in the north east, facing a heavy trafficed river This is a rough guideline, and the merit of each POI may vary. a.
