Combat Mission Shock Force 2 is currently available on steam and also on sale for $40. If you are into in-depth strategy games then I highly recommend you look into this. I have most of the recent Combat Missions and I have to say it is probably the best strategy game I have ever played. I also own this game on steam so if anyone would like to steam remote play and test it out we can surely do that just shoot me a message.

1. SITUATION:

1st Platoon successfully eliminated all hostiles in and around Objective Indigo(The City); however, the supplies were not blown up making the mission a failure. Due to the failure VC have gotten their supplies back across the river putting them at full strength once again. Our job now is to harass the enemy and eliminate any AAA in the area so our boys can fly in and slay the NVA.

TERRAIN:

Heavy jungle vegetation surrounding both objective objectives. Objective Lion is a small encampment with tin buildings and shacks.

TIME:

0400IGT(In Game Time)

WEATHER:

WEATHER: 80F (27C); Clear; Wind 0kn NNE; Dawn 0500 IGT; Dusk 1900 IGT

ENEMY FORCES:

1. VC regulars have been spotted at both objectives as well as patrolling in the jungle.
2. Both objectives have overwatch on the village of Phoum Srei Apshok(WILD WEST)
3. VC have also been spotted manning AAA and recoilless rifles at Objective Rhino.
4. VC are well equipped with AK-47s, RPGs, and RPDs,

FRIENDLY FORCES:

Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division

Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division

2. MISSION:

Eliminate hostiles in and around Objective Lion and Rhino, as well as the AA gun at Objective Rhino

3. EXECUTION:

PHASE RED:

1st Platoon will take a huey from the 1/7 Cav HQ to FOB Emery and then will move to move to WP1(041045)

PHASE GREEN:

From WP1(041045) MAKO 1-1 will break into two teams. Alpha will go to AP1(039045) while Bravo moves to AP2(037046).

PHASE BLUE:Once Alpha and Bravo are set at their respective assault points MAKO 1-1 will call for 2x illumination rounds at both TRP Alpha(03830459) and TRP Bravo(03740456). Once the flares are are visible in the sky both teams will assault the objective. Alpha team moving southwest and Bravo will move south killing all the dumb slants in our path.

PHASE YELLOW: Once Objective Rhino is secure a resupply will be requested from any Rattler 1 elements if needed and prime all static weapons with demolition blocks.

Phase ORANGE: Once the platoon is supplied and ready to move they will rally at RP1(037044) just southwest of OBJ Rhino. From there the platoon move to WP2(032041).

Phase TEAL: From WP2(032041) the platoon will move to AP3(037034). Here the MAKO 1-1 will call Illumination rounds on TRP Charlie(03800246). After the round is in the sky the Platoon will assault and secure the compound.

Phase PURPLE: Once the compound is secure MAKO 1-1 will prime any weapon caches and/or radio equipment found. After detonation the platoon will move South avoiding any enemies and search for an appropriate LZ for Rattler 1.

White/Yellow: Concealment

Green: Friendly/Affirmative/LZ safe

Red: Enemy/Negative/LZ not safe

1. SITUATION:

1st platoon of Alpha Company of the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the 1st Cavalry Division successfully neutralized 3 patrol bases surrounding, and supplying,  “The City” because of this the NVA and Viet Cong forces are making a b-line toward the city in attempts to restore the supply chain. Our task now is to eliminate all hostile forces in the objective so we can successfully build FOB Emery.

TERRAIN:

Heavy jungle vegetation surrounding the objective. Light building cover in the objective. Rice fields the the west and east.6

Viet Cong Relief force is being organized to the west, in an attempt to break through to the city.

One AAA spotted in the city last week, expect there to be more.

2. MISSION:

Eliminate hostiles in “The City”, objective Indigo, and blow all caches/vehicles.

3. EXECUTION:

PHASE RED:

1st Platoon will take a huey from the 1/7 Regiment base(076005) to LZ Rhino

PHASE GREEN:

1st Platoon will move to move to WP1(076014) and then split up and 1-1 will move to SBF Alpha(072017) while 1-2 moves to SBF Bravo(072018) and get eyes on Objective Indigo(The City).

PHASE BLUE: MAKO 1-1 and MAKO 1-2 will leave a MG at each SBF while the rest of the men will assault Objective Indigo.

PHASE YELLOW: Once Objective Indigo is secure the engineers from each team will compile the ammunition and vehicles and rig them to blow. After everything is destroyed 1st platoon with move back East into the trees and MAKO 1-1 Section Leader will designate a PZ for Rattler 1-1

1st platoon of Alpha Company of the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the 1st Cavalry Division successfully extracted HVT codename “Bleach man.” After an aggressive interrogation done by 1LT J. Kauffman we have found the locations of multiple taliban safehouses stocked with weapons and ammunition. Our next task is to find the exact location of these safehouses  and mark them for supporting ANP.

Locate and mark the taliban safehouse at target #1. Once complete move to targets #3,4, and 5, along with 1-2, and mark the safehouses for the ANA forces.

1st Section Primary Objective: Locate safehouse at Target’s 1,3,4, and 5.

1st Section Secondary Objective: Mark for ANA forces

1st Section Tertiary Objective: Act as QRF for 1-2

3. EXECUTION:

PHASE RED:

MAKO 1-1 will take a blackhawk from the FOB of Punta Cuervo(084105) to Yanotabir and conduct maneuvers to attack Target 1

PHASE GREEN:

MAKO 1-1 move to WP1(111171) then to SBF1(118170) and get eyes on Target 1.

PHASE BLUE: MAKO 1-1 will raid target 1 and mark the Taliban safehouse for ANA forces. Once complete MAKO 1-1 will move to AP1(121166) and coordinate with MAKO 1-2 to assault Target 3,4, and 5.

PHASE YELLOW: MAKO 1-1 will extract with MAKO 1-2 or radio RATTLER 1 for extraction and mark an LZ of MAKO 1-1’s choosing.
