WEATHER: Clear, Hot, Extremely Dry. 3. TERRAIN: Lightly forested highlands. 1. SITUATION a. Enemy Forces 32nd PAVN HQ Element 66th PAVN HQ Element 33rd PAVN HQ Element b. Friendly Forces Bravo & Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment 2. MISSION - 1st Platoon Alpha Company 1/7th Cavalry Regiment will counter attack and clear the PAVN position behind Hong Knog mountain. - 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will be flying reinserts, Resupply, Medevacs, and Gun Runs for 1st Battalion 7th Cavalry. - Reconnaissance Team Alaska, MACV - SOG will be acting as OpFor. 3. EXECUTION PHASE I - Hong Kong Mountain a. 1st Squad will move to SBF Alpha and will be support 1-1 from the ridge (056103). 2nd Squad will move west from our foothold (060106) and assault the base camp from the West. b. 1st Squad will move east along the ridge and continue to support 1-1 from SBF's Bravo and Charlie (056103). 2nd Squad will continue moving down the valley west, clearing out the trenches and HQ's as they go. c. 1st Squad will move parallel with 2nd Squad and sweep the 66th PAVN's HQ. Then 1st Squad will move back up on the ridge to SBF Delta while 2nd Squad pushes through the valley and clears the last HQ. d. 2nd Battalion will be acting as a blocking force on the east side of the valley (045114), killing or capturing any enemy combatants that attempt to flee out of the valley. e. 1st Platoon, Alpha Company will destroy any static weapons and equipment that is too big to be flown out by CH47s. 1st Platoon will seal any tunnel entrances with satchel charges. f. 71st Company will stay clear of the eastern edge of the valley for Anti Aircraft guns(047110) have been spotted. PHASE III - ENDEX a. After clearing the PAVN positions, 1st Platoon will pull back to LZ-Xray for ENDEX. **Special Instructions** - All requests for fire will come to the Platoon Leader first, then on to the Platoon FO. - Reinserts will not be Via teleport. Be very careful. If you die, Reinserts will be done via helicopter, and will take some time. - Look for Maps/Intel at each HQ location. 4.
