  3. Hey All,

As some of you more 'techy' people will know the world is short of IPv4 Address's, as a consequence of this our provider has upped the prices of the server.  To put this into context we use 15 IPv4 Address's across our servers, Teamspeak, Website, Gameservers etc. I have got that down from the 25 we originally had to save on costs, however, the cost of this is still very high. Unfortunately I can do nothing more to lower the cost due to how the servers work and the requirement for these IP's. I also pay for the licensing for the website & Teamspeak which becomes quite costly.

I have already pre-warned command on the possibility of having to charge a fee for the servers. I have personally paid for these servers off my own back since the unit was formed. This was totally off my own back as I enjoy the unit and playing with you guys! Many people have donated over the years, no matter how small it has helped in one way or another.

The donation goal set on the front page is a high expectation, we have met this goal a few times. That goal sets us straight for each month, that is with the unit paying half and me paying half which works out around $75 a month.

I understand people have personal lives involving money and stuff, that takes priority. So all i'm asking is if people can donate a small amount each month collectively I believe the $75 can be covered.

I will speak to command on what perks donations will have.. but it will not go unnoticed especially by me.

The donation link is on the homepage, alternatively you can find it here - https://1stcavalry.org/index.php?/donate/make-donation/

That donation goes straight into a PayPal account which is linked to all payments for the servers etc, none of it goes to me for personal use.

Thanks guys, any amount is massively appreciated, however big or small.

Due to the actions of the 1st Cavalry Division in the last few days and the successful assault on the town of Testorf the enemy have now pushed there forces further south towards the town of Rosche. The friendly commanders intent is now to push all the remaining enemy further to the South to aid in a large scale attack from friendly forces on Rosche. 1st Platoon, 1st Cavalry Division along with attached Rattler elements from the 71st AHC are tasked with destroying an enemy supply convoy and eliminating remaining strong points to the North of Rosche, we are also attempting to lur forces from Rosche into the AO to reduce the numbers within Rosche.

71st AHC are tasked with causing destruction from the clouds by laying sustained CAS for friendly forces and their objectives.

    Intelligence:

Due to the rapid nature of this mission little intelligence has been gained. All we know is there is a supply and vehicle convoy consisting of around 8 vehicles moving from Rosche up to Neumuhle @ 2000 IGT. We suspect Neumuhle to be lightly defended, however, the town of Borg is known to have a heavy enemy presence.

    Notes from Commander:

    • All requests for Close Air Support/Medevac/Resupply/Insertion are to go to Mako 1-6 on FREQ 60.0. Mako 1-6 will contact Rattler 1-6 on FREQ 50.0 to request an asset to assist 1st Platoon as necessary. Once the asset is in the area of Operation for Mako 1-6, Infantry can contact the bird via CAS Net FREQ 45.0 to guide in the bird/direct close air support.
    • Given the covert nature of this operation, ISR and CAS capabilities will be available but limited. 1st Platoon may opt to carry and deploy a quadcopter-style drone with them to better establish their situational awareness prior to attack.

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    MISSION

1st Platoon, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment *SOF*

1st Platoon's primary objective is to into no mans land, via whichever method the platoon commander see's fit and move into the village of Neumuhle, eliminating the strong point. Destruction of vehicles, equipment and men. This will be a time critical objective.

1st Platoon's secondary objective is to move into and assault the village of Borg. Then take up positions in Borg in preparation to ambush an enemy supply convoy moving from Rosche at 2000IGT down the MSR through Katzien. Eliminate the convoy and clear the area.

1st Platoon's third objective is to repel any possible counter attack from forces moving from Rosche and fall back to Neumuhle and form a friendly strong point with support from other friendly forces.

It is imperavative that convoy DOES NOT reach Neumuhle or leave the town of Borg.

    71st Assault Helicopter Company

Rattlers primary objective is to provide CTR (Close target recon) & CAS during 1st Platoon's assault.

Rattlers secondary objective is to rain fire down on the towns of Katzien and Stutensen (East of Katzien) and eliminate any vehicles and enemy forces.

Rattlers will also need to be prepared to extract 1st Platoon if needed.

Due to the intense nature of this current push, Rattlers are able to request any air frame they require.

DO NOT ENTER THE NO FLY ZONES. YOU WILL BE SHOT DOWN.

*If desired, Rattler units may opt to augment alongside Mako elements as infantry.

  6.   WARNING ORDER

    Operation Red Inferno 005

    Rosche, West Germany - 2021

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    SITUATION

    OPERATION TIME: 1900 EST

    IN-GAME TIME: 0200 IGT

    ORGANIZATION:

    1. REGION: Rosche, West Germany

    2. WEATHER: Clear Skies; 50F ; Wind <1kn NNE; Dawn 0755 IGT; Dusk 1825 IGT

    3. TERRAIN: Farmland, Spruce Forests, Villages

As a result of the successful capture of the enemy officer Colonel Osipov during 1st Platoons last operation we have gained intel on an enemy stronghold and supply point to the North of Rosche. Allied forces have now moved no mans land further towards some key enemy occupied villages and towns. However, to ensure this push continues 1st Platoon are tasked with causing havoc behind enemy lines. From the intel gathered we have located a town called Testorf, this town is heavily defended with no routes in or out, every road around the village is barricaded by the enemy so a vehicle assault is not possible. Within the town lay a vehicle and resupply depot, it is also believed that there is a communications center in the town.

The disruption to enemy supply lines and communications would greatly benefit the aim of NATO forces allowing for a further push in from the South without risk of a counter attack from the North.

    a. Enemy Disposition

    Intelligence & UAV imagery:

Allied forces have been able to a deploy a drone and have captured the below images of the village. Be aware these images are over 48 hours old so enemy disposition within the town may change. x1 UAZ DShKM has been spotted patrolling the circular road around the village. A tank has been spotted inside the vehicle depot, it is unknown if this is operational. Multiple roadblocks are in place, a few of these have enemy APC's defending them. Multiple radio antennas have been spotted at the communications centre. Intercepted communications suggest that after these images were taken the town has been further reinforced with more infantry. The grid references on the UAV imagery are correct at the time the image was taken.
