  1. Hey Guys! This poll will decide the setting of our next campaign! The Poll will close by 23:59 EST Tuesday, December 4th. Details about each option can be found below. Thanks, Kauffman Option #1 MACV - SOG Behind Enemy Lines in North Vietnam 1972 This will be a clandestine special forces campaign, similiar to our very first campaign here in the 1st Cavalry Division. We will split into two teams, and operate in different AOs while also being able to work together. Being inserted deep behind enemy lines, we will set up hidden camps within the jungles, where we will stash supplies and respawn. We will gather intelligence, conduct deep recon, and plan hit and run style raids on valuable North Vietnamese Targets, POW rescue, and when our objectives our complete we will be extracted from the depths of the jungle. Our campaign will be set in 1972, late war, which means new equipment such as XM-122s, China Lakes, Stoner Machine Guns, and other Late War equipment will be able to be used. Option #2 1st Cavalry Special Reconnaissance Unit The Great Raid - Pacific 1945 We will be sent deep into Japanese controlled territory within the Philippines. We will working with the local population, and conduct operations while undercover disguised as civilians, while operating in urban areas. We will set up safe houses and set up hidden camps in the jungles, where we will respawn and store supplies. we will conduct reconnaissance, raids, and our operations will all be preparation for our final operation where we assault the Prison and free many many American, British, and Dutch Prisoners of war who're in danger of being executed by their Japanese Captors. This Campaign will take place during 1945, so many "toys" will be available for us to use, such as experimental equipment and technology. Option #3 British Commandos Episodic Raiding Campaign West & Pacific 1940-1945 We will be playing as British Commandos, and will be conducting various different raids throughout the second world war, on separate maps, and during separate time periods. Including Raids on the Japanese in in Burma, and raiding German heavy water plants in Norway. Each individual operation taking place on a different map, setting, and time period. The British Commandos had a vast array of weaponry and equipment at their disposal, so we will be able to use lots of experimental and high tech equipment & weapons during this Campaign.

  21. OPERATION ORDER Operation Pegasus 003 ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1. SITUATION TIME: 3NOV18 @ 1900 EST (0600 IGT) WEATHER: 84F (29C); Clear; Wind 15kn NNE; Dawn 0700 IGT; Dusk 1700 IGT 1st Platoon is currently stationed in AirCav HQ. Due to the NVA threat against Khe Sanh Airbase we are to relocate there. NVA outposts between AirCav HQ and Khe Sanh have been hit earlier and are low strength, however reinforcements are spotted moving towards these outposts. Our job is to make sure those reinforcements do not get a chance to dig in at the outposts. Due to lack of good intel, the area north of the AO is considered a NoFly Zone for our helicopters. a. Enemy Disposition Vietcong and North Vietnamese Army forces have moved into our area of operations. Due to the terrain NVA are not able to bring vehicles to Obj. Utah, expect foot soldiers only. Armor have been spotted north of Khe Sanh, expect armor and heavy weaponry to move into obj. Omaha along the road to the Northeast No armor has been spotted in Obj. Omaha itself. b. Friendly Forces 1st Platoon and 71st AHC are the only friendly forces in the AO. c. 1968s - Rules of Engagement On order from your commander, enemy military and paramilitary forces are declared hostile and may be attacked subject to the following instructions: Positive Identification (PID) is required prior to engagement. PID is a reasonable certainty that the proposed target is a legitimate military target. If no PID, contact your next highest commander for decision. Do not engage anyone who has surrendered, or is unarmed or wounded. Any requests for fire support or close air support within 600 Meters of a civilian center must first get authorization from commanding officer. Unless there is Positive Identification of Targets in an unoccupied building, structures are not to be engaged or targeted by heavy Ordinance including Mortars, Artillery, Armor, or any other forms of high explosives. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2. MISSION 1st Platoon is tasked with clearing out Objective Utah and Omaha, in small quick raids utilizing air assault tactics. 71 AHC will be conducting gun runs on the objective after dropping troops off at respective LZs. Map of the AO: Notes from Commander: All requests for Close Air Support/Medevac/Resupply/Insertion are to go to Mako 1-6 on FREQ 40.0. Mako 1-6 will contact Rattler 1-6 on FREQ 50.0 to request an asset to assist 1st Platoon as necessary. Once the asset is in the area of Operation for Mako 1-6, Infantry can contact the bird via CAS Net FREQ 45.0 to guide in the bird/direct close air support. If an infantry element is in threat of being overrun and requires immediate assistance, they may declare a "Tactical Emergency" to Mako 1-6, who will then have Rattler 1-6 redirect all available air assets to Mako 1-6's Area of Operation to prevent the unit from being overrun. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 3. EXECUTION PHASE I - OBJ Utah a. 1st Platoon & 71st AHC will load up into Huey's and land at LZ Jupiter. b. 1st Platoon will move out east to OP 1, and will establish eyes on OBJ Utah. c. 1st Platoon will first clear the rim of the crater, and one team will move down the crater to sweep the camp, while the other team covers from the highground. d. Once the squad begins clearing the camp, the other team will have to move to OP 2 to act a screen for enemy reinforcements coming from the North. e. Once the camp is clear, the sweeping team will pull back towards the high ground near LZ Europa and will cover while the other squad at OP 2 pulls back to the LZ. f. 1st Platoon will be picked up at LZ Europa and flown to LZ Saturn. PHASE II - OBJ Omaha a. From LZ Saturn, 1st Platoon will move north and will close in with OBJ Omaha, while not engaging until we've closed with the objective. b. From there we have divided the camp into three Zones, and the entire platoon will clear the camp together, one zone at a time. c. After its cleared, 1st Platoon will move to set up security on the high ground over looking the highway. PHASE III - Counter Attack a. After clearing out OBJ Omaha, 1st Platoon will use the advantage of the mountains and will dig and get eyes on the highway to the northeast. b. 1st Platoon will utilize any static weapons found on OBJ Omaha, and will begin to engage enemy forces along the central highway, which are moving to retake OBJ Omaha. c. After eliminating the enemy Counterattack, 1st Platoon will call in the Helos for extract. PHASE IV - Extraction a. All teams/mission specific equipment/or vehicles must be returned within the confines of a friendly FOB or the 1st Cavalry Division Airbase before ENDEX. b. If a vehicle is left in the field it will be lost for the duration of the campaign. **Special Instructions** - Reinserts will not be Via teleport this time. Be very careful. If you die, Reinserts will be done via helicopter. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ SUPPORT 71st Assault Helicopter Company Vehicle Pool for Campaign: Aircraft: 4 x UH-1H 'Hog' 1 x UH-1B ‘Tow’ 2 x UH-1C ‘Gunship’ 2 x UH-1H ‘XM21’ 1 x UH-1D ‘Medevac’ 1 x CH-47 'Chinook' 1 x CH-47 'Guns-A-Gogo' 2 x OH-6 'Loach’' Watercraft: 3 x Mk.
