    2. MISSION

     

    - 1st Platoon Alpha Company 1/7th Cavalry Regiment will be manning several checkpoints/evacuating civlians, and will be conducting combat patrols through no-mans-land, attempting to capture a prisoner to be interrogated.

     

    - 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will be conducting Combat Air Patrols above the Incheon Island Chain.

     

    - SFOD-A7111 will be acting as OpFor.

     

    - Friendly forces have set up defenses around the town of. 

     

    3. EXECUTION

    PHASE I - Checkpoint

     

    a. 1st Platoon will be manning Checkpoint Bravo (CP Bravo) and will be helping to evacuate civilians through to the third Island.

    b. Ensure civilians move through the checkpoint in an orderly fashion, and search each car before letting them pass.

    c. Squads will alternate between manning the checkpoint and conducting Combat Patrols in no-man's-land between each the front lines.

    PHASE II - Patrols

     

    a. 1st Squad will be conducting the first combat patrol, along Patrol Route 1. 2nd Squad will take Route 2, 1st Squad will take Route 3.

    b. Patrols will be searching for enemy patrols/monitoring troop movements. If a small enemy patrol is located, you are to engage and attempt to take a prisoner to be returned to the CP for interrogation.

    c. If contact is made with a larger force, the rest of the Platoon will move to reinforce.

    PHASE III - Endex

    a. 1st and 2nd Squads move back to HQ for Endex.

     

     

    **Special Instructions**

    - All requests for fire will come to the Platoon Leader first.

    - Reinserts will not be Via teleport. Be very careful. If you die, Reinserts will be done via helicopter, and will take some time.

    - Avoid prolonged contact in no mans land, you will be targeted by enemy indirect, will be pinned in place, and killed if a prolonged fire fight occurs

    - Break contact if necessary.

    - U.S. & ROK Forces all accross the DMZ have been swarmed by millions of North Korean Army troops. The Incheon Island Chain was hit by a joint amphibious & airborne invasion, and Alpha Company, 1/7th Cavalry evacuated a number of civilians before retreating to the second island in the Incheon chain. In the wake of the invasions, mass amounts of civilians are fleeing south and clogging the main interstate through the chain. The defenses have been breached along the northern coast of the 2nd Island. 1st Platoon, Alpha Company is to air assault into LZ Baker (119880), where we will be evacuating a high ranking South Korean General's family. From there we will be moving on to destroy several key Fuel and Ammunition dumps before they can fall into enemy hands, then join the general retreat further South to the third Island.

     

    2. MISSION

     

    - 1st Platoon Alpha Company 1/7th Cavalry Regiment will evacuating four HVTs, then destroying several Fuel and Ammunition caches in accordance with the South Korean scorched Earth policy.

     

    - 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will be transporting 1st Platoon, providing reinserts/medevacs, and emergency CAS.

     

    - SFOD-A7111 will be acting as OpFor.

     

    - Friendly forces have set up defenses at Phase Line Yankee and Phase Line Zulu, on either end of the bridge connecting the Islands. 

     

    3. EXECUTION

    PHASE I - Movement

     

    a. We have a limited window for arieal operations on this one. U.S. Air Forces are severely under strength & they cannot provide around the clock air coverage. We will have air craft running CAP from 2000 IGT to 2150 IGT. All helicopters will be grounded at 2150 IGT.

    b. At 2030 IGT 1st Platoon will air assault into LZ Baker (199880).

    c. 1st Platoon will then move out on foot from the LZ to the General's Villa at (119885).

    PHASE II - HVT

     

    a. By 2045 IGT, 1st Squad will secure a perimeter around the Villa, while 2nd Squad locates the four HVTs.

    b. HVTs are four Adult Males in suits. 2nd Squad will secure them, and move the civilians to the center of the compound.

    c. Rattler 1-1 will then land at the villa, HVTs will be loaded upon the bird and evacuated South.

    d. 1st Platoon will move onto Phase III.

    PHASE III - Scorched Earth

     

    a. 1st Platoon will push out from the Villa by 2100 IGT.

    b. 1st Squad will secure Objective Alpha, once secure 1st Squad will destroy any vehicles that were abandoned by Korean troops in the vehicle Depot at Objective Alpha, and will push on to secure Objective Bravo and destroy a strategic fuel reserve. 

    c. 2nd Squad will secure Objective Charlie and will burn and shred any documentation or sensitive Intel on site. 2nd Squad will then move to secure Objective Delta, and will destroy ammunition stores on site. 

    d. After completing all objectives squads will move onto Phase IV.

    PHASE IV - General Retreat

    a. 1st and 2nd Squads will rendezvous at LZ Lima for extraction via Rattler 1-1. 

    b. All aircraft are to be grounded at 2150 IGT, if 1st or 2nd Squad fail to reach the LZ before the Window closes, they will be forced to retreat across Phase Line Zulu via foot.

    c. After all ground forces have crossed Phase Line Zulu and reached Airbase K-16, S-3 will call ENDEX. 

     

     

    **Special Instructions**

    - All requests for fire will come to the Platoon Leader first.

    - Reinserts will not be Via teleport. Be very careful. If you die, Reinserts will be done via helicopter, and will take some time.

    - There will be a high number of civilians fleeing south, avoid civilian casualties at all costs.

    - Two weeks ago North Korean officials conducted their first even successful missile test of an inter-continental ballistic missile capable of reaching the United State's Pacific Coast. This has been followed by the North Koreans throwing out UN Unclear Inspectors two days ago. Massive troop movements have been observed all along the 38th Parallel over the last forty eight hours. The 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry have been dispatched to reinforce the Incheon Islands, a key strategic string of islands that house several important US - South Korean Airbases.

     

    2. MISSION

     

    - 1st Platoon Alpha Company 1/7th Cavalry Regiment will transporting several static weapons and crates of ammunition off at Camp Henry, and will be reinforcing the troops garrisoned there. 

     

    - 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will be conducting coastal patrols along the Northeastern coast. 

     

    - SFOD-A7111 will be acting as OpFor.

     

    3. EXECUTION

    a.At 1745 IGT 1st Platoon will move out from Airbase K-16, with a HEMMTT Loaded full of supplies.

    b. 1st Platoon will reinforce and resupply Camp Henry, and await further orders.

    c. Depending on the situation, Patrols of the coast may be mounted.

    a. After S-3 gives the signal, 1st Platoon will head for the closest CAMP/FOB for endex.

    1. 52nd ARVN Infantry Battalion

    - Last week, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry secured Hill 471 and the rubber plantation that lies to the northeast of Khe Sanh Village, and we are now prepared for the final assault to drive the 320th PAVN Infantry from the area around Khe Sanh.

     

    2. MISSION

     

    - 1st Platoon Alpha Company 1/7th Cavalry Regiment will be air assaulting into an LZ northeast of the Plantation. Our job will be to close with the city and to clear it out block by block, house by house.

     

    - 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will be air assaulting 1st Platoon, Alpha Company into several LZs and will be flying in resupply/reinserts.  Rattler 1-1 will also be tasked with running several gun runs on Khe Sanh city itself.

     

    - Reconnaissance Team Alaska, MACV - SOG will be acting as OpFor.

    PHASE I - Bridgehead

     

    a.At 1745 IGT 1st Platoon will Air Assault into LZ Iowa Rattler 1-1, will  wave off and return to the AO in a gunship.

    b. At 1750 1st Platoon will move to Phase Line Alpha. Once both teams are arrive, 1st Squad will set up a base of fire. 2nd Squad will then assault into Zone 1 and establish a foothold.

    c. Once the bridgehead is secured in Zone 1, 1st Squad will push into the town and begin clearing Zone 2.

    d. Once Zone 2 is clear, HQ element will push to LZ Utah, and will clear the area of trees to allow Rattler 1-6 & Rattler 1-1 to deliver reinforcements and supplies closer to the front.

    PHASE II - Khe Sanh City

     

    a. From here 2nd Squad will push up the road clearing Zones 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 and will then hold.

    b. 1st Squad will push down a side street clearing zones 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13. Once Zone 13 is clear, 1st Squad will support 1-2 as they push into Zone 7, a large construction complex.

    c. 2nd Squad will clear Zone 7, and establish overwatch on the small bunker complex to the west in Zone 15. 1st Squad will then push north and then will push back west to clear Zones 14 & 15.

    d. Once All Zone's are clear, both squads will await the arrival of friendly forces via convoy down Route 19, and then will push to LZ Utah for extract.

    PHASE III - ENDEX

    a. After completing all objectives, 1st Platoon will be picked up by Rattler 1-6 & Rattler 1-1 and will RTB for ENDEX.

     

     

    **Special Instructions**

    - All requests for fire will come to the Platoon Leader first.

    - Reinserts will not be Via teleport. Be very careful. If you die, Reinserts will be done via helicopter, and will take some time.

    - We will be fighting in Urban terrain. Take it slow, be methodical, and work with closely with fellow units.

    - Last week, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry secured the city of Reing along Route 19, furthering our drive to Khe Sanh City. Before we can being our assault on the city itself we have to recapture the Hilltop FOB overlooking the city, as well as the rubber plantation that lies to the northeast.

     

    2. MISSION

     
    - 1st Platoon Alpha Company 1/7th Cavalry Regiment will be air assaulting into an LZ near Hill 471. Our job will be to clear Hill 471. From there the Platoon will split up. 1st Squad will be tasked with air assaulting into the plantation clearing it, and digging in to prepare for a counter attack from Khe Sanh City. 2nd Squad will be tasked with clearing the small village which lies to the south of Hill 471, and will also dig in.
     
    - 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will be air assaulting 1st Platoon, Alpha Company into several LZs and will be flying in resupply/reinserts.  Rattler 1-1 will also be tasked with running several gun runs on Khe Sanh city itself.
     
    - Reconnaissance Team Alaska, MACV - SOG will be acting as OpFor.

    PHASE I - Hill 471

     

    a.At 1745 IGT 1st Platoon will Air Assault into LZ Salem. Rattler 1-1, will  wave off and return to the AO in a gunship.

    b. At 1750 1st Squad  will move to Phase Line Alpha and set up overwatch.  2nd Squad will move to Phase Line Bravo. Once both teams are set, 2nd Squad will close with the hill top and secure it.  

    c. From here, 1st Squad will join 2nd Squad and pull security around the hill. 1st Squad will move to Phase Line Charlie and hold. 1st Squad will be air assaulted from LZ Helena to LZ Boulder.

    PHASE II - OBJ Bravo/Charlie

     

    a. Once at LZ Salem, 1st Squad will move to Phase Line Delta, and will assault OBJ Bravo.

    b. From OBJ Bravo, 1st Squad will move on to clear OBJ Delta at their own pace.

    c. 2nd Squad will move from Phase Line Charlie to OBJ Charlie and will begin clearing the villages. Once Charlie is clear, 2nd Squad will set up on overwatch over Route 19, and will engage any units that move to counterattack 1-1's Position.

    d. Once 1st Squad clears OBJ Delta, they will dig in, in case of counter attack from Khe Sanh City.

    a. After completing all objectives, 1st Platoon will be picked up by Rattler 1-6 & Rattler 1-1 and will RTB for ENDEX.

    - Last week, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry secured Route 19, allowing for a ground supply route to the firebases on the mountains covering the Northern half of Khe Sanh Combat Base. This week we will be pushing south clearing several cities along Route 19 and will be starting a long drive to retake the city of Khe Sanh over the next few weeks. 

     

    2. MISSION

     
    - 1st Platoon Alpha Company 1/7th Cavalry Regiment will be air assaulting into an LZ on the outskirts of the city of Reing. A Platoon of Marine's with an ARVN armored platoon attempted to take the city earlier in the day but were repelled. They reported a dug in enemy force with many static Anti-Air & Anti-Tank weapons. Our job will be to air assault near the city, and then neutralize possible threats to armor along Route 19, from there we will sweep and clear the town & hunt for possible AAA which had been sighted in the heart of the town.
     
    - 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will be transporting 1st Platoon, Alpha Company to the town of Reing and will be flying in resupply/reinserts.  Rattler 1-6 & Rattler 1-1 will also be tasked with neutralizing any forces caught in the open to the south of Reing, along Route 19, who attempt to counter attack & retake the city.
     
    - Reconnaissance Team Alaska, MACV - SOG will be acting as OpFor.

    PHASE I - A Reing

     

    a.At 1745 IGT 1st Platoon will Air Assault into LZ Rebel. Rattler 1-6 & Rattler 1-1, will complete a wave off and complete their objectives south of the AO.

    b. At 1635 1st Squad  and  2nd Squad will move to Phase Line Alpha. From PL Alpha, 1st Squad will set up a support by fire, while 2nd Squad closes and enters into Phase Line 1. Once 2nd Squad has cleared PL 1, they will set up a support by fire and will cover 1st Squad while they move onto PL 2.  

    c. From here, 1st Squad will begin clearing Zone's 2, 3, & 4, and then will hold until 2nd Squad has reached Zone 10.    2nd Squad will clear the out skirts of the city, by clearing Zone's 8, 9, & 10. After clearing Zone 10, 2nd Squad will close back with the city and move on Zone 11, simultaneously, as 1st Squad moves into Zone's 5 & 6. From there 2nd Squad will move onto clear Zone 12, while 1st Squad clears Zone 7.

    PHASE II - Po Reing

     

    a. After A Reing has been secured, combined Marine & ARVN force will move in and occupy the town.

    b. The Platoon will have to clear the small shanty town of Po Reing to the Southeast. 

    c. 1st Squad will move from Zone 7 to Phase Line Bravo. 2nd Squad will move from Zone 12 to Phase Line Charlie.

    d. 1st Squad will establish a base of fire while 2nd Squad closes with the town. Once 2nd Squad has established a foothold in Zone 13, 1st Squad will move in and clear Zone 14. 

    e. Once Po Reing is secured, 1st Platoon will move Northwest to LZ Yankee and call for extract.

    a. After completing all objectives, 1st Platoon will be picked up by Rattler 1-6 & Rattler 1-1 and will RTB for ENDEX.

     

     

    **Special Instructions**

    - AAA has been spotted in the town. Their last know locations have been marked with Red !. Each squad is to neutralize any AAA that is found inside the city. 

    - Once AAA has been eliminated, Air assets will be able to reinsert/resupply troops closer to our Area of Operation.

    - We'll be fighting in Urban Terrain. We do not teach/train for Urban Environments, so take it slow and steady. Pack extra fags, use them to clear rooms to minimize casualties.

    - 1st Platoon Alpha Company 1/7th Cavalry Regiment will be air assaulting into Various LZ's at the bases of multiple hills which have been occupied by PAVN Forces. Our swift movements & support from the air will counter their advantage of the high ground. We will start with OBJ Alpha, then move to OBJ Bravo, OBJ Charlie, and Lastly on to OBJ Delta. 
     
    - 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will be transporting 1st Platoon, Alpha Company from LZ to LZ and will be flying in resupply/reinserts.  Rattler 1-6 & Rattler 1-1 will also be providing constant gunship support, softening up each hill before infantry assaults enemy positions, and will be free to search and destroy any forces caught in the open who attempt to counter attack.

    a. At 1630 1st Platoon will Air Assault into LZ Zulu. Rattler 1-6 & Rattler 1-1, will complete a single gun run each on the objective then move to engage other targets of opportunity in the AO.

    b. At 1635 1st Squad  and  2nd Squad will move to Phase Line Echo. 1st and 2nd Squad will  close with OBJ Alpha and clear out any surviving targets with frag grenades, etc. 

    c. Once the platoon has secured Objective Alpha, they will radio for pick up by Rattler 1-6 & Rattler 1-1, then will air assault into LZ Yankee.

    a. After Landing at LZ Yankee, 1st Squad will move Northwest to Phase Line Foxtrot. 2nd Squad will move North East to Phase Line Golf.

    c. After the gun runs are complete, 1st Squad will squad will assault OBJ Bravo. 2st Squad will assault OBJ Charlie.

    c. The factory will complex is bisected by a road. The factory will divided into two zones. Zone 1 to the Southwest of the Road, Zone 2 to the Northeast of the Road.

    d. 1st Squad will assault & sweep Zone 1. 2nd Squad will assault and sweep Zone 2.

    e. After the factory has been secured. 1st Platoon will then radio for pick up, by 71st Company.
