Attention Members NOTICE OF DEPLOYMENT Operation Mountain Reach 001 - Saturday February 10th @ 19:00EST Since 2014, the United States began the gradual process of withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, and giving more responsibility to the Afghan Nation Army (ANA). However in the past few years, the Taliban have launched several large scale offensives and retaken several provinces from the Afghan National Army. The Taliban have overrun many ANA outpost, have set up training camps deeps within the mountains, and continually attack and terrorize the civilian population and Afghan Nation Police residing in the cities in the Kunar Valley. The 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Division, is being deployed to assist with the counter insurgency being conducted by ANA forces, for the next Six Weeks.

  4. 1. SITUATION a. Enemy Forces 1st Strait Separatist Militia; Company sized Light Infantry Force; Heavy weapons limited to static machine guns & mortars; Patrolling country side & might prepare ambushes on the approaches to their training facility once enemy presence is known. b. Friendly Forces 5th Hellenic National Guard; Manning base defenses around Straits Airfield & City of Aigos TIME: 3FEB18 @1900EST (1800IGT) WEATHER: 48º F( 9º C); Clear; Wind 0kn NNE To begin, we will have a 15 minute classroom session on the basics of Air Assault, we will spend the next 15 minutes conducting a live insert into LZ Zulu. We'll be immediately picked back up and flown to HLZ Yankee. This rest of this FTX will be designed for each team to practice operating with their new specialization. Mako 1-1, will enter their AO via Air Assault, HALO, or HAHO. Once successfully inserted into their AO they will complete a simple OBJ and then will prepare to link up with Mako 1-2, to take down the final objective together. Mako 1-2 will be inserting into their AO via ground transport. They will practice operating with the vehicle of their choice and will complete a small OBJ and will standby to rally with Mako 1-1 to take down the final OBJ. All units will return to base via Rattler 1-1. It will not be necessary for team leaders to post official Op Orders this week. 2. MISSION Mako 1-1 & 1-2 are tasked with inserting into their respective AO's, conducting small hit and run raids on their respective objectives, and then are to rally and work in unison to conduct a raid on a guerrilla training camp. It will not be necessary for team leaders to post official Op Orders this week. SITUATION TIME: 24JAN18 @1900EST (1700IGT) WEATHER: 23º F( -5º C); Overcast, Light Fog, Chance of Showers; Wind 0kn NNE The KPA front line has finally crumbled as a result of unrelenting coalition assaults. While KPA forces are disorganized & shattered, 1st Platoon will be tasked with capturing the KPA 4. Divisional HQ and General Staff. Nakadake Airfield is garrisoned by KPA Forces and may contain enemy AA. Any prolonged or sustained engagement at the villa might draw QRF from Nakadake Airfield. MISSION 1st Platoon is tasked to conduct a hit and run raid on the Villa at Rejidensu Konami [079925] which is the site of 4. Divisional HQ & capture the General of the Korean People's Army 4. Division, Kim Rak-Gyom in order to cut the head off of the remaining KPA forces besieged on the island. All detachments will be working in unison to conduct this raid. MISSION - 1st Platoon Alpha Company 1/7th Cavalry Regiment will air assault in the vacinity of serveral North Korean Concentration Camps, and will be liberating and extracting civilians. - 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will be transporting 1st Platoon, and then will extracting civilians. - SFOD-A7111 will be assisting 71st Company, as crew chiefs. - Friendly forces will assaulting the beach at 06:30IGT. 3. EXECUTION MAP OF THE AO PHASE I - Movement a. 1st Squad will land at LZ Tango. From LZ Tango 1st Squad will move to Phase Line Alpha. b. 2nd Squad will land at LZ Sierra. 2nd Squad will move from PL Sierra to Phase Line Bravo, Charlie, and finally onto Phase Line Delta, while attempting to stay concealed from any enemies at OBJ Alpha. PHASE II - OBJ Alpha & Bravo & Charlie a. Once at Phase Lines Alpha & Delta, 1-1 & 1-2 will get eyes on their respective objectives, formulate a plan of attack. b. Each squad will then coordinate and assault each objective at the same time. c. Once OBJ Alpha is secure, 1st Squad will push on to clear OBJ Charlie, and kill or capture the Camp's Commissar who will be wearing a Beret. Once clear, 1st Squad will set up security around OBJ Charlie, while 2nd Squad consolidates all the civilians and moves them to OBJ Charlie. PHASE III - Evactuation a. 1st Platoon will call for extraction once all the civilians have been moved to OBJ Charlie. b. 1st and 2nd Squads will hold the perimeter while 1-6 & 1-6R Load the civilians on the CH-47 at LZ Utah. c. 1st and 2nd Squads will then fall back to the CH-47 and will extract with the civilians. d. Firebird 1-1 will be providing CAS while the Platoon extracts. PHASE III - Endex a. 1st Cavalry Division will ENDEX at base. **Special Instructions** - All requests for fire will come to the Platoon Leader first. - Reinserts will not be Via teleport. Be very careful. If you die, Reinserts will be done via helicopter, and will take some time. - 1st Platoon will be require heavy amounts of zip ties to move the civilians. 4.   17. Hey Guys, Some of you have expressed interest in some Sci-Fi Mods, such as the new Star Wars Universe Mod & the Halo: Insurrection Mod. I think this'll be a good way to break out of the norm and have a bit of fun. 1. Jordan & Chardi have agreed to start putting together a Star Wars mod pack. 2. I'll be compiling some mods that we could use in a Halo Modset. We'll be working with Cummings to get these these mods on the server for one specific weekend so that we could have some fun! So stay tuned!
