Enemy Forces 1st Strait Separatist Militia; Company sized Light Infantry Force; Heavy weapons limited to static machine guns & mortars; Patrolling country side & might prepare ambushes on the approaches to their training facility once enemy presence is known. b. Friendly Forces 5th Hellenic National Guard; Manning base defenses around Straits Airfield & City of Aigos TIME: 3FEB18 @1900EST (1800IGT) WEATHER: 48º F( 9º C); Clear; Wind 0kn NNE To begin, we will have a 15 minute classroom session on the basics of Air Assault, we will spend the next 15 minutes conducting a live insert into LZ Zulu. We'll be immediately picked back up and flown to HLZ Yankee. This rest of this FTX will be designed for each team to practice operating with their new specialization. Mako 1-1, will enter their AO via Air Assault, HALO, or HAHO. Once successfully inserted into their AO they will complete a simple OBJ and then will prepare to link up with Mako 1-2, to take down the final objective together. Mako 1-2 will be inserting into their AO via ground transport. They will practice operating with the vehicle of their choice and will complete a small OBJ and will standby to rally with Mako 1-1 to take down the final OBJ. All units will return to base via Rattler 1-1. It will not be necessary for team leaders to post official Op Orders this week. 2. MISSIONMako 1-1 & 1-2 are tasked with inserting into their respective AO's, conducting small hit and run raids on their respective objectives, and then are to rally and work in unison to conduct a raid on a guerrilla training camp. It will not be necessary for team leaders to post official Op Orders this week. SECONDARY TASKING: Destroy three communication Towers located atop Hill 225 (052050). TERTIARY TASKING: Perform a successful HALO or HAHO Jump. 2nd Secition, 1st Platoon, A. Company, 1/7th Cavalry Mako 1-2 is to capture a terrorist patrol base atop Hill 209 (050059), Rally with 1-1, and capture a terrorist training camp (064053). PRIMARY TASKING: Capture the terrorist training camp (064053). SECONDARY TASKING: Capture the terrorist patrol base atop Hill 209 (050059) TERTIARY TASKING: Accomplish tasks by utilizing the vehicle of choice, as a means of transportation and mobile weapons platform. 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion 71st Company will be stationed at Straits Airbase PRIMARY TASKING: Conduct Air Assault training with the platoon SECONDARY TASKING: Practice Sling loading a Humvee and transport it to Camp Tempest (019035). COMMANDER'S NOTES TEAM LEADERS, have your men bring 3 x Satchel Charges to detonate Comm towers & Make sure to cross load equipment throughout your teams to ensure you'll have enough ammunition, medical supplies, and mission critical equipment to complete your mission even if one team member is killed or disconnects.
