Kauffman Posted February 8, 2018 Share Posted February 8, 2018 Attention Members NOTICE OF DEPLOYMENT Operation Mountain Reach 001 - Saturday February 10th @ 19:00EST Since 2014, the United States began the gradual process of withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, and giving more responsibility to the Afghan Nation Army (ANA). However in the past few years, the Taliban have launched several large scale offensives and retaken several provinces from the Afghan National Army. The Taliban have overrun many ANA outpost, have set up training camps deeps within the mountains, and continually attack and terrorize the civilian population and Afghan Nation Police residing in the cities in the Kunar Valley. The 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Division, is being deployed to assist with the counter insurgency being conducted by ANA forces, for the next Six Weeks. View full latest Link to comment
