  3. OPERATION TIME: 1800 EST IN-GAME TIME: 0600 ORGANIZATION: 1. REGION: Cao Bang Province, Laos 2. WEATHER: Early morning fog. 3. TERRAIN: Flood planes and river Delta. 1. SITUATION a. Enemy Forces National Liberation Front 308th 'Mao Khe' Mechanized Brigade 202nd 'Quyet Thang' Tank Brigade b. Friendly Forces None 2. MISSION - The time for recon and raids in Cao Bang province is coming to a close. All teams remaining in the AO are to rendezvous and establish an LZ for extract from the province. - 71st Company, 145th Aviation Battalion will provide extract for all teams remaining within the AO, as well as provide emergency gunship support if needed. 3. EXECUTION PHASE I - Movement a. Upon load in, teams will be teleported to their respective camps. b. Teams will pack up and move to RP Anaheim (061015) c. Once teams rendezvous they will then pick up and move to LZ Trouble (052011) PHASE II - Evasion and Extract a. Once at LZ Trouble teams will set up defenses in the surrounding rock formations and await extract as well as fight off any enemy patrols that follow. b. If the LZ becomes too hot teams will attempt to establish a secondary LZ at LZ Compromise (052007) c. If both Landing Zones are too hot for helicopters to land teams will radio for gunship support. d. Team leads should continue to attempt to set up tertiary Landing zones in the event that helicopters are unable to land. e. Endex will occur once all teams have extracted from the AO or in the event that both teams are wiped out. **Special Instructions** - Instructions for pickup will be relayed over a specific frequency that will change with each passing half hour. The use of smoke to mark landing zones is highly frowned upon as we do not want the enemy to find the LZ. - Reinserts will only occur towards the beginning of the OP (the first hour), as one of the end conditions is that both teams are wiped out. 4.   4. OPERATION TIME: 1900 EST IN-GAME TIME: 0400 ORGANIZATION: 1. REGION: Cao Bang Province, Laos 2. WEATHER: Early morning fog 3. TERRAIN: Highlands merged with valley floodplains 1. SITUATION a. Enemy Forces National Liberation Front b. Friendly Forces Army of Republic of Vietnam - ARVN CIDG Montagnards - CIDG 2. MISSION -Reconnaissance Teams Alaska and Iowa will pack up camp at approximately 04:45 and continue to conduct reconnaissance and coordinated raids in South Eastern Laos. -71st Company, 145th Combat Aviation Battalion will conduct further reconnaissance flights over the AO and standby to extract teams in case of emergency. 3. EXECUTION PHASE I - Reconnaissance of Tan Lap Base and Mong An port town a. Upon load in teams will gather their gear and await teleportation to their camps. b. Once at their camp RT Alaska will move north and attempt to reconnoiter the coastal town of Mong An. c. Once at their camp RT Iowa will move northeast and attempt to observe troop movement and size of the NLF forces stationed at Tan Lap Base. PHASE II - Rendezvous a. Once each Recon Team deems that they have gained sufficient intelligence regarding their assigned target, they will begin to move towards RP Cedar. b. Once the Teams rendezvous at RP Cedar each they will exchange intelligence and plan out coordinated raids on either the NLF Fuel and Supply Depots in the North, or Tan Lap Base in the South. PHASE III - Execution and Evasion a. After deciding which targets to raid, the Recon Teams will then execute the raids utilizing support assets, as well as hit and run tactics. b. After Conducting the raids teams will evade and exit on the Southern edge of the AO if possible. c. Once teams have evaded any pursuing enemy patrols, the teams will separate and find a concealed location in the jungle to set up camp. d. ENDEX **Special Instructions** - Try to map the Ho Chi Ming trail. - Map and note patrol patterns. Where the troops sleep and live. - Locate the supply depots, truck depots. - Locate potential camp sites. - Remaining undetected is of the utmost importance. - Heavy noise and light discipline is required. 4. Due to the successful raid conducted by RT Iowa at the end of last operation the size and scope of enemy forces near and around the Ho Chi Minh Trail is expected to increase substantially.
